Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) Paid InternshipsLoaves & Fishes is receiving intern resumes for our Summer Food Service Program (SFSP). These are paid ($1200 monthly) internship positions at 30 hours per week from June to August, 2018. The SFSP Intern supervises site activities involving people who are hungry and generally from neighborhoods with socio-economic issues, along with community volunteers and staff who are acting on the agency’s mission. The SFPS Intern works with other interns and volunteers to create and serve guests nutritious summer lunches (one intern will be an evening dinner). Farm Paid InternshipAssist in the management of Loaves & Fishes’ farming efforts. All produce grown will be used to make nutritious meals for guests who otherwise would not have the access to such produce. Work alongside Loaves and Fishes’ farmers with the planting, watering, seeding and harvesting of all produce. Recruit, manage and work alongside volunteer groups. Coordinate internal produce pick-up and drop-off. Create internal communication pieces - propel communication through weekly newsletters for Loaves and Fishes’ Site Coordinators to share with their guests and volunteer teams. Include information about what is growing and being harvested as well as fun and interesting stories from the farm. Help with healthy recipe/menu development. Assist in the implementation, access, and quality of the Summer Food Service Program (SFSP). Manage volunteers to assist in the implementation and/or maintenance of the program. Salary: $1200/month; Hours: M-F hours vary, occasional Saturdays; Experience: Gardening/farming; working knowledge of Word, Excel and Publisher; ability to guide others and direct volunteers; must have reliable transportation. FILLED: Site Coordinator / Chef in Crystal: Work with volunteers to create and serve nutritious meals to our guests. The Site Coordinator supervises all site activities and is in charge of running the dining site from open to close.
FILLED: Food Transport Driver: Pick up food at various locations (schools, businesses, airport etc.) and deliver to Central Office in Minneapolis.
