Walk to end hunger
One in ten of our neighbors don't know where their next meal is coming from and the need for emergency food programs has increased dramatically over the past several years. There were nearly 1 million visits to Twin Cities metro area food shelves in 2007 and over 1 million meals served to those in need. In 2008, food shelf usage increased 14%.

We believe hunger is a condition that is intolerable, but solvable. To this end, Loaves and Fishes has joined with 9 other Twin Cities hunger relief organizations to create the Walk to End Hunger.

The 2009 event will take place Thanksgiving Day Morning, Thursday, November 26, 2009 from 7:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. at the Mall of America in the the Best Buy Rotunda.
