Loaves & Fishes is one of 95 local nonprofits awarded a grant from the Greater Twin Cities United Way in 2019. Executive Director Cathy Maes told the Star Tribune that without the United Way’s grant, which equals about 4% of the nonprofit’s revenue, she would have had to cut staff or programs. “We’re really thankful that the United Way has always funded us,” she added.
