The mood in the kitchen was upbeat and always generous. All of us took pride in serving meals to our hungry neighbors thanks to the well-organized kitchen and spirit of giving.

Thank you for your interest in joining our robust volunteer community! Loaves & Fishes relies on the generosity of thousands of volunteers each year to make our work possible. By volunteering with Loaves & Fishes, you can make a tangible contribution to our community by providing free meals to our families, friends, and neighbors. 

We offer a variety of volunteer opportunities for both individuals and groups including:

• Community Meal Sites: Prepare meals under the guidance of the Site Coordinator and help package meals for distribution, or distribute meals and help to clean up during and after meal service.
• Commissary Kitchens: Assist our Chefs by preparing bulk amounts of rescued food to be later distributed throughout our meal programming. Shifts may also include cleaning and sanitizing all kitchen equipment and workstations. This is a great opportunity for larger groups or corporate teams who are interested in working together to create a large impact in a short amount of time.
