Loaves & Fishes is a non-profit, volunteer driven agency fulfilling a basic need by feeding the hungry. Our aim is to treat everyone with dignity and respect.
Loaves & Fishes provides coordination, facility
rental and maintenance, oversight, public relations,
emergency food, advocacy, and volunteer training to
over 4,000 volunteers annually. |

Volunteers working in 270 serving teams provide food,
cook dinner, and help with the cleanup in a warm and
welcoming atmosphere.
Over 320,000 meals were served at our 8 sites in 2007. |

We ask no questions of our guests - there are no
entry requirements other than showing respectful behavior
for everyone.
Among our guests, over half are female; over 50% are
Caucasian and the rest are minorities and new immigrants;
and almost 20% are children; at some of our sites
half are children. |

|
Loaves & Fishes staff are present at each site
to work alongside volunteers in the kitchen and dining
hall. In addition, the staff networks with other community
agency providers and offers referral and advocacy
to guests for other appropriate social services.
