Loaves & Fishes continues to monitor developments throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, working to adjust and respond as needed so we can provide nutritious meals to those in need. Our Loaves & Fishes Serving Policy is as follows: All meals are currently to-go only at all Loaves & Fishes Meal Sites and Community Meal Partner open-to-public meal sites. Please call us with questions at 612-377-9810.
Safety Policies & Guidelines
We are committed to the health and safety of our guests, volunteers, donors, partners, and staff. We continue to work to mitigate the potential spread of the virus by implementing the steps below:
Follow our ServSafe best practices (national food safety standards)
Ask those who are symptomatic/ill not to attend.
Refrain from shaking hands or hugging to greet others.
Ask staff and volunteers to wash hands frequently and use hand sanitizer when serving food to guests.
Encourage masks on staff, community meal partners, and volunteers at Loaves & Fishes open-to-public meal sites. Our Loaves & Fishes Face Mask Policy is as follows: All Loaves & Fishes staff, open-to-public community meal partners, and volunteers are encouraged to wear a mask (not required). If you prefer to wear a face mask, please bring one (face masks can be available on site upon request).
Provide gloves, aprons, and a hairnet (if you don’t bring your own hat/hair tie).
Volunteer With Us
The secret to Loaves & Fishes’ ability to feed people in need has always been our volunteers. YOU are needed now more than ever as the demand for healthy meals rises. Help Minnesotans Through this Crisis by Making a Donation
The demand for fresh and healthy meals has grown dramatically in light of the pandemic. Switching from a dine-in format to takeaway service brings additional costs. Your gift will allow us to meet the growing demand and provide hope to those in need. Thanks so much for your generosity and for your belief that no one should go hungry.
